Scott Gunderson, a top political appointee of Gov. Scott Walker's at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, let Herr Environmental escape tens of thousands of dollars in fines for improper wastewater treatment in the Oconomowoc area. Gunderson, a former State Representative, received campaign contributions from the Herr family in 2006 and 2008. In response, Gunderson claims he simply forgot about the contributions.
