Backing Thompson, Radio Commentator Calls Baldwin a 'kook,' 'nutjob'

Jeff Wagner, a conservative commentator on 620 WTMJ AM Radio, has printed a whole host of slurs against Tammy Baldwin - calling her hard-core, a nut-job, and a kook.  Sounds a little desperate to go to name calling.

State Electrions Board says Wisconsin GOP Issues Misleading Poll Information

The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which is in charge of running the state's elections, is putting the Mitt Romney campaign on notice for spreading false information about who can and can't vote.

The bottom line is that Republicans don't want people to vote.  They are using intimidation, obfuscation, and a tightening of voting eligibility to make sure that as few people vote as possible.  Why?  Because whenever there is a larger turnout, Democrats tend to win.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker loses another key lawsuit

Scott Walker has again overstepped his bounds and trampled on the Wisconsin constitution by signing a bill that gave him the ability to overrule administrative rules put into place by the Superintendent of Public Instruction.  The judge ruled that the constitution provides autonomy to the Superintendent with regard to rulemaking, which is how laws are interpreted and implemented.  Sorry, Scotty!

Tommy Thompson "Mostly False" on Medicare Cost Manipulation

Tommy Thompson has made untold millions from his investments and work as a lobbyist after leaving his job with Health and Human Services under George W. Bush.

No Coincidence that Repubs were in Charge for 1929, 1987, and 2007 crashes

Republicans had control of the White House from 1921-1933 Harding/Coolidge/Hoover (Great Depression + Stock Market Crash of 1929), from 1981-1992 Bush/Reagan (2 recessions in 1981 and 1990, plus the Stock Market Crash of 1987 - Black Monday), and from 2001-2009 (Stock Market Crash of 2008 and Longest Recession since Great Depression from 2007-2009).

Republicans also slashed social spending during these times and gave rise to the super wealthy.  What did Dems to in the White House?  Grew the economy, protected the poor and vulnerable, went after banks, etc.

"Some Girls Rape Easy" Quote by Wisconsin Republican Undisputed for Months

It took ten months and being picked up by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal before Republicans, let alone anyone in the area where the article first appeared, before anyone said anything critical of an interview in which a Wisconsin Republican member of the State Assembly explained that 'Some girls rape easy,' in reference to a local rape case involving a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.  Fortunately, now that it has been in the news, most politicians, including Republicans, are distancing themselves from the offending Representative.

Former Wi. Gov. Scott Walker Appointee Convicted of Stealing $51,000 from Vets Group

Kevin Kavanaugh, a Walker appointee and Republican operative, stole $51,000 from the Order of the Purple Heart, a Vets group, a Milwaukee county jury has found.

Kavanaugh is the second conviction of a former Walker associate/scumbag, after Kelly Rindfleisch was found guilty of misconduct in public office, a felony, also while working for Scott Walker when he was the Milwaukee County Executive.

Bill Gardner, Scott Walker supporter and felon, made $70 selling Wisc. & Southern Railroad to Kansas Company

It looks like Gardner has now been pushed out of the company he sold to Watco, of Kansas, last month.  At least he made $70 million in the process, so he shouldn't have much to complain about.

Former Wisc. GOP legislative aide Sherry Schultz ordered to pay restitution

Sherry Schultz admitted to a misdemeanor charge of misuse of public office and was ordered to pay more that $7,200 in restitution to the State for the time she wasted while on the job doing political work for the Republican Party.

#PaulRyan abortion line during #VPDebate - says life, but not health, of mother important

This is very telling, as Republicans can't seem to get their stories straight about which cases of abortion and contraception they would allow, and those which they would crack down on.

1,400 Pastors Plan to Violate Johnson Amendment; Voice Support for Romney from the Pulpit

In an act of civil disobedience, or you could say wanton disregard for their tax statuses, 1,400 pastors are going to do speak out on politics this Sunday in church.  The so-called Johnson Amendment, which was passed in 1954, requires the IRS to rescind the tax-free status of churches which take partisan sides in elections.  The hope of the pastors is either to convince church members to vote against Obama or to force the IRS to take action that would result in a court decision.  Either way, the public loses.

Watchdog Groups Target Wisc. Republicans Over Emails Used for ALEC Business

In case you don't know, ALEC is a trade group that has been basically writing legislation for years and treating it's legislative members to junkets in exchange for adopting them as their own.  Some businesses are leaving the group because of its conservative leanings and the fact that they are getting called out.
