For anyone who thinks that getting an immigration visa through the U.S. State Department's Green Card Lottery program is easy, it turns out that you're right (15 million applications for only 50,000 visas, or Green Cards)! The odds of winning one are 150,000 times better than winning the New York Lottery.
Read more about the Green Card Lottery program here: http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/ Also, just a bit of trivia... the permanent residence visa, or Green Card, was only recently made green after not having been that color since 1964. It will be so much less confusing now, I'm sure. ;)
